KIRK Album Review
It all started when…
DaBaby opens up to fans discussing many different times in his life such as dealing with the death of his father, new fame, success, and so much more on his sophomore alum KIRK.
The album was starts off with the song titled INTRO which discusses a reflection of the highs and lows DaBaby went through during this year from dealing with the death of his father (which is why the album and album art is dedicated to him), platinum records, family issues, and overall trying to maneuver through his new life as a person living in the public eye. The intro song draws in listeners and leaving them wanting more into what story is about to be told through this album.
Throughout the Album there is definitely a tone of determination and knowing that even though life is all about highs and lows, there will always be determination to get things done and come out on top. Through songs such as OFF THE RIP, POP STAR, GOSPEL, and TOES DaBaby is able to show his progression from where he came from to where he is now and knowing that even though there are many obstacles that come your way, do not let that stop you from your dreams and goals.
With the many different collaborations on this album such as Chance the Rapper, Gucci Mane, Migos, Nicki Minaj, etc. DaBaby was able to put a full body of work together that told his story while still keeping a cohesive sound from start to finish. This album is highly recommended for someone who feels as if life can knock you down, but will help to be a reminder that when falling down you must get back up.
