About
It all started when…
Over 100 days and the police officers who fatally shot Breonna Taylor have yet to be arrested. Taylor, 26, was shot in her home on March 13 by LMPD officers who entered her home through a no knock search warrant.
Taylor was shot eight times by Brett Hankison, Jonathan Mattingly and Miles Cosgrove and those officers are still free and justice has yet to be served for the Taylor family.
The theme and lesson that must be learned is that there needs to be more effort put in for black women, the Black Lives Matter movement has been stronger than ever throughout the past few months and with this momentum there cannot be a lack of effort especially for this case.
Though the law passed that there will be a ban of the no knock warrant and there is an investigation, there is still work that needs to be done. Taylor worked as a EMT and aspired to be a nurse had many different dreams and aspirations that were taken away from her too soon.
All in all, there is a great amount of work that needs to be done to move forward and progress with the protection of black women, not only for Breonna Taylor, but the other black women the media does not show.
