It all started when…

Learn everything about the industry, then go hard, according to the rapper, songwriter, and businesswoman Passhon.

The Gary, Indiana native, showed the world her bars and heart through her single “If I,” featuring Lavon Sheree and Ann Monyay. Passhon has shown her ambition and hopes to thrive within the music industry.

Being raised in Gary, Indiana, she knew music was her outlet for self-expression and finding her niche. Her musical journey started at the age of 13 when she wrote poems but grew into something more when she went to the studio for the first time.

“The very first album I listened to and knew by heart was Trina. I liked the way she was feisty,” she said. As she grew more into her artistry, she began to gain inspiration from Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss and Cassidy. “I feel like I’m a mixture of all of them.”

Not only does Passhon hold value within her music, but within her pen as well. She wants to exemplify the importance of women writing their music within such a male-dominated field. “It’s important because these are things I work hard to come up with, and this is my mind I let you guys into,” she said.

As her dreams and goals grew bigger and bigger, she also took a chance on herself as a businesswoman and opened her new hip hop themed restaurant, “The Loaded Potato Bar,” located in Atlanta, GA.  Through such an intense year, she has been able to remain optimistic and embrace her career journey. “I’ve learned my niche, and I know what works for me and what doesn’t,” she said.

Passhon’s musical success has just begun; with her creativity growing, she wants to get involved in creative directing and showing her various layers as a visionary as she did with “If I.” She wants to expand her fanbase and let the world know that she is here to stay.

With her new project “90219” coming soon, she is on her way to carving her music path.
